Heard Museum

Bradley and I took the kids to the Heard Museum. Yes it was on March 25th, and I am just now downloading pictures. Cayden was very interested in going on a "nature walk." Bradley was beyond excited to participate in this. He is waiting for the day that he can take Cayden camping and backpacking. Cayden had a great time. Asking all sorts of questions along the way. Emerson also was very interested (see where she gets that daddy's girl thing)! I put Finley in the sling, and we enjoyed our hike too. Our trip was interrupted by rain, but all in all we had a good time.

Cayden''s 1st soccer game of the season

Cayden had his first game of the season this morning (bright and early)! I am pretty sure that is was not intended for people to be up and playing soccer at 8 A.M. I bet they don't make David Beckham play that early, but I digress. Cayden did awesome, as usual. He did great on defense and scored a goal! The name of his new team is the Wolf Pack! He loves the game just like his daddy. I am so proud of him! Way to go Cayden!

Arboretum

My sister and I took the kids to the Arboretum today. Wow, too many people! I totally forgot that it was Spring Break (even though my son is on "Spring Break"). We had a good time though, and I got a few good pictures of them. I am surprised they actually cooperated for as long as they did! It was a beautiful day, but now I am exhausted.

Just had to share another conversation /w Cayden. We got our girl scout cookies today, and I got 2 boxes of thin mints for Bradley. They are his favorite. Well I put them on the counter and went about the day. After Cayden had dinner and his bath, I went to clean up the kitchen. I looked in the bag of cookies and noticed the 2 boxes of thin mints were not there. At 1st I thought I was going insane (which is quite possible), so I asked Cayden if he had seen them. This is what he said (in a serious tone /w alot of hand-gesturing):

Cayden: "mom I took the chocolate ones out of the bag and hid them. You know how much daddy likes chocolate. I don't want him to eat them all. Wasn't that a good idea?"

Me: "sweetie where did you hide them?

Cayden: "they are over on the bench, under the diaper bag! Don't tell daddy!"

I laughed for quite sometime. He went to bed, and I went looking for the thin mints. I only found 1 box. I have no idea where the other box is.

Cayden's idea!

Cayden amazes me everyday with the way his brain works. He is so smart. Sometimes a little too smart for his own good. This is the conversation I had with him this evening:

Cayden: Mommy, I'm hungry. Can I have a snack?

Me: No Cayden, you already had a snack, and I am going to make dinner in 3o minutes.

Cayden (very dramatic and holding his stomach): No mommy, I can't wait. I am so hungry.

Me: No Cayden. This is not up for debate. You will have dinner soon.

Cayden: Mommy, please just ONE cracker. That will be enough.

Me: NO!

So a few minutes go by, and he comes to me (this time very calmly and rationally):
Cayden: Mommy, you know what I think will take my mind of you not letting me have a snack?

Me: what?

Cayden: I think if you let me play with my Webkinz on the computer, I will not think about being hungry until dinner time. Is that a good idea?

Oh my! What am I going to do with that? He makes me laugh.

The boys are baking!!

Last night the boys decided to bake a cake for my birthday! It was Cayden's idea, and he had it fully planned out! Even though my b-day isn't until Saturday, Cayden wanted Bradley to help him on his day off. Cayden made fliers, with a picture of what the cake should look like, to hand out to people. I am not sure what people, but he made several. He showed Bradley the pictures, and they made the cake. It was so sweet and looked great! I loved it! Thanks boys!

My Little Peanut!

My friend Paula is trying to start a portfolio and came over the other day to take some pictures of Finley. She did not cooperate very well, but Paula did get a few good pictures of my little peanut. She is getting bigger everyday. As of yesterday, we have graduated from preemie diapers to newborn! She amazes me everyday!

I decided to start a blog today because I have so much free time on my hands! I have several friends who use it as a great way to keep their friends and family updated on their daily lives. That is my goal. We will see how it goes! I hope you enjoy the trails and tribulations of my three wonderful children, my amazing husband and me!
